Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) – Baggage Handling System Maintenance
The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) is undertaking a significant upgrade of its baggage handling system across airports. This project aims to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security in baggage processing operations. By implementing state-of-the-art technology and modern infrastructure, KAA seeks to streamline the handling process and improve passenger experience. The baggage handling system upgrade underscores KAA's commitment to maintaining world-class airport facilities and ensuring seamless travel for passengers.
The scope of the project entails maintenance and supply of spares for baggage handling machines at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport terminal 1A, B and C
State Department for Housing and Urban Development
The Affordable Housing Project (AHP) addresses housing challenges by providing cost-effective housing solutions. This initiative aims to make homeownership more accessible to low and middle-income individuals and families. The AHP seeks to create sustainable communities with affordable housing options through innovative design and construction methods.
The project entailed constructing affordable houses in Kinangop, Isiolo and Muranga sites. Each site comprised of construction of nine blocks of four storey flats.
Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC(KenGen)- HVAC System Maintenance
KenGen is currently upgrading its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to enhance comfort and efficiency. This project aims to optimize energy usage, improve indoor air quality, and ensure a pleasant environment for occupants. By modernizing its HVAC infrastructure, KenGen seeks to prioritize the well-being of employees and visitors alike.
Additionally, this initiative aligns with sustainability goals by reducing energy consumption and minimizing the organization's carbon footprint. Overall, the HVAC upgrade represents KenGen's commitment to excellence and environmental responsibility.
The project scope entailed design, supply, installation and commissioning of HVAC system for Unit 1 and 2 plus renovation and repair of Unit 3 HVAC system for Olkaria 2 KENGEN power station in Naivasha. Frejed designed and supplied the following:
2No. Chiller unit of 68 kW nominal cooling capacity complete with matching Air Handling Unit
Renovation of Air Filtration System
Repair works for Unit 3 air conditioning system including replacement of 1No. compressor, control cards for compressor and chiller Prodialog card
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) – Lift Maintenance Program
The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) has initiated a comprehensive lift maintenance program to ensure the continued operational efficiency of its lift systems. This project is crucial for maintaining safe and reliable vertical transportation within the port facilities. By implementing regular maintenance schedules and conducting necessary repairs, KPA aims to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted access for personnel and cargo.
Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) - HVAC Maintenance
The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) is implementing a comprehensive upgrade of its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This initiative aims to enhance indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort within CBK premises. By adopting modern technologies and sustainable practices, CBK seeks to create a healthier and more conducive working environment.
This was HVAC maintenance contract whereby Frejed Engineering Services was contracted by Central Bank of Kenya to service and maintain both VRF and Split air conditioning in CBK offices located at CBK Head Office, Kenya School of Monetary Studies, and Ex Telkom Towers, Nyeri and Eldoret.
General Electric (GE) - HVAC Maintenance
General Electric (GE) is undertaking the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This project aims to optimize indoor climate control and enhance comfort levels within GE facilities. By leveraging advanced HVAC technology and energy-efficient solutions, GE seeks to create a more sustainable and productive work environment.
This was a comprehensive maintenance contact for service and repair of split air conditioning units in various counties in Kenya whereby General Electric (GE) had supplied and installed a medical equipment. Frejed was contracted to service 24 sites with 127No. air conditioning units serviced quarterly and 13 sites with 70No. of split air conditioning units serviced semi-annually.
Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) - HVAC and Lift Maintenance
The Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) is embarking on a project to upgrade its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and lift infrastructure. This initiative aims to improve the authority's facilities' overall comfort, safety, and efficiency. By modernising HVAC and lift systems, KMA seeks to enhance working conditions for its staff and ensure a conducive environment for stakeholders.

Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) – Chiller and Lift and Tsavo Ballroom Refurbishment
The Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) is undergoing essential upgrades to its chiller and lift systems. This project aims to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the building's cooling and vertical transportation infrastructure. By modernising the chiller and lift systems, KICC seeks to ensure optimal comfort and accessibility for visitors and occupants. The initiative aligns with KICC's commitment to maintaining world-class facilities and providing exceptional experiences for event attendees and guests.
The scope of the Tsavo ballroom refurbishment is as follows:
A. Air Conditioning & Mechanical Installation works
1. Removal of existing sanitary fittings and replacement of new ones.
2. Plumbing and drainage works.
3. Installation of new mechanical ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
4. Installation of new fire fighting system

The scope of the project included:
- Supply, installation and commissioning of Toshiba ducted VRF indoor air conditioning units for 18 floors of KMA offices.
- Sikalastic Water proofing cyclic roofs (about 1900 Sqm) using SIKAFlEX, storm water.
- STP Effluent Drainage Microtunnelling and Builder’s work (Skylight and Ceiling finishes).
Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital (MTRH) – Office Block Construction Project

Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) – Rice Mill Plant
The Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) is spearheading the establishment of a state-of-the-art rice mill plant. This project aims to boost local rice production and processing capabilities in the region. By leveraging modern technology and sustainable practices, the LBDA seeks to enhance the value chain of rice cultivation.
The rice mill plant initiative aligns with the authority's mission to promote economic growth and food security in the Lake Basin area. Through strategic partnerships and investments, LBDA endeavors to create opportunities for agricultural advancement and community development.
The scope of this project was to design, supply, install and commission a 4 ton per hour rice milling machine for Lake Basin Rice Mill Complex located along Kisumu – Kibos road. Components of the project included the following:
- Pre-Cleaning machine
- De-stoner
- Paddy husker
- Paddy separator
- Rice whitener
- Multi grader
- Color sorter
- Rice Storage tank and
- Renovation and programming of rice packaging machine
New KCC
The scope of the project included supply, installation and commissioning of milk evaporation system upgrade for Kiganjo factory. It consisted supply and installation of the following items:
- Milk Pre-Heater Duplex system
- Milk Separator
- Holding Tanks
- Cooling Tower
- CIP System and
- Evaporator System Refurbishment
